Transcript Shomus Biology - The Origin of Jiu Jitsus Applications

Transcript Shomu's Biology - The Origin of Jiu Jitsu's ApplicationsOne of the greatest Japanese martial arts grappling systems is, of course, BJJ by Renzo Gracie and it also has the DNA of his predecessor, the great Yoshihito Nakai. The founder of Jiu Jitsu was forced to flee Japan in World War II after being accused of doing evil things to the enemy. And the genius behind BJJ was none other than one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, the legendary Hiroshi Tada. But why are these two systems so closely related? There are some big differences between the systems of these two giants. One of the most obvious differences that the BJJ schools will point out is that Jiu Jitsu is a martial art while BJJ is a grappling system. The biggest difference between BJJ and Jiu Jitsu is, of course, the MMA thing. There are some differences in the philosophy and fighting techniques that went into building the two systems. But, in general, they do have a lot in common. The origin of Jiu Jitsu's adv anced striking is rooted in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu circular rolling method. It was really the circular rolling where the ground fighter could get his or her opponent off balance that allowed for the explosive and deadly takedowns that was made famous by Rickson Gracie. With his philosophy of fighting going from top down, he essentially took the application of Jiu Jitsu to its logical extreme - going from the bottom to the top to finish the fight.Because the first generation of Gracie Jiu Jitsu was mostly made up of jiu jitsu practitioners that were specifically drawn to the Gracie family by their striking prowess, their one disadvantage with being a good opponent would be their lack of strikes. So, with the circular rolling, the more grounded fighter would simply win because the extra foot would help them win positions that were more favorable to them. It was a method to end the fight before it ever really began. There are some great advantages to the striking philosophy of the Grac ie Jiu Jitsu system that the UFC and MMA fighters often fail to recognize. When we talk about ground fighting, we are talking about the ability to get into a dominant position at the earliest opportunity and holding that position while getting your opponent off balance is the only way to make sure they don't escape the submission. The big theory on winning the ground battle states that you can actually get into the better position and then, with a judiciously applied knee, you can hold onto that position until the person gets to a position where he or she can escape the triangle choke. However, BJJ is not all about the submissions that were built into its origination. When the students got to do what they do best, the MMA or mixed martial arts of the BJJ stylists, there was a clash of philosophies. The martial arts philosophy of mixing the submission strikes with the grappling to form a winning game plan is something that was long advocated by BJJ's founder, Helio Gracie. He believed that the best way to win a fight was not through sheer force of arms, but to look for an internal problem that the opponent might have, and then exploit it. This inner conflict that most fighters develop will eventually bring about defeat. But he realized that by confronting the internal conflicts of the opponent, not just the outside limitations, that you would be able to win by exploiting the internal conflicts of the opponent.

Want A Paid Summer Internship Looksharp Can Help

Want A Paid Summer Internship Looksharp Can Help pixabay.com Successful interns tend to have already had experience with having internships in the past. That should be no surprise to anyone seeing as most companies and places love hiring people that have experience with being in the world of job and internship success. Having had experience means that you as an individual will have recommendations to back you up, if need be; you have people to speak on behalf of your skills and work ethic. A good number of top ranking, successful interns used an average of four different sources to find internships,  Google being one of the top online sources; Looksharp was among the other internship sites that were used by approximately 38 percent of students. The phrase putting all your eggs in one basket is not something to rely on when delving into the internship search field. Successful students averaged nine applications in their search, while highly competitive students averaged at least 10 to 20 applications. The CEO of Looksharp, Andrew Maguire, even stated in the release that “getting an internship is a job in and of itself.” You have to not lose that momentum during your internship hunting process or even after you get the job. The press release presented five stats from the Looksharp report explaining how students should approach their job hunts and what companies see: •Cross-train: Get skilled in more than one field. According to the report, more than half of students have incorporated computer science into their classes. •Start young: Don’t wait until your senior year to get your first internship; the Looksharp report states nearly 75 percent of students already have internship experience by this year in school. •The more internships the better: Try to get as many internships as possible, throughout your school time. The report showed  24 percent of seniors who had three or more internships throughout their college career secured job offers prior to graduation. •Be flexible: Many students, especially seniors (more than 73 percent), are much more willing to relocate for a job, giving them a higher advantage. •Location, location, location: Look into cities that have a vast amount of paid internships, such as California, Idaho and Nebraska. Be aware of how you are handling your internship searches and always know places like Looksharp exist to make your search a little bit easier. Looksharp is here to help launch and jumpstart students’ careers, seeing as it is the largest internship and entry-level job marketplace in the U.S. Take advantage of the opportunities at hand it never hurts to give it a try!

What Is En Charge Chemistry?

What Is En Charge Chemistry? The term, 'En charge Chemistry' is actually a very important one for all aspiring Chemistry students. En is in fact one of the key ingredients in all of the categories that are defined in chemistry. En is actually the constituent of the elements and the compounds that comprise them.In chemistry it is not possible to separate the different elements from each other. Every atom of an element is a molecule, which can be called on. It is used to refer to the elemental content of the entire element. Thus, the elements are classified into different groups such as the alkali-metal group, alkaline earth group, earth, carbonic-acid group, sulphuric-acid group and the halogen group. In order to understand the concept of an en, it is important to note that it refers to the three elementary states of matter, namely the first state, which is in the solid form, second state which is the liquid and the third state which are the gas. There are several types of en, which are commonly used in chemistry. Among these are the cation, anion. The cation has to be distinguished from the anion. In other words, in the former the opposite charges are attracted to each other, while in the latter the opposite charges are repelled. One example of this is sodium, where the cation is the positive and the anion is the negative. In the anion, two electrons are being involved. However, in the cation, only one electron is involved. When the anion is oxidized, it forms positively charged ions which get deposited in its immediate surroundings.Similarly, the anion is oxidized when the electrons of the cation are substituted by protons. When the anion gets oxidized, two protons will get absorbed from the oxygen molecules. However, as the protons get discharged, the protons, which were originally present in the anion, are also released. This is known as the cation plus ion, or the additional ion.The remaining charge of the cation is provided by the neutrons of the hydrogen ato ms. These electrons are usually responsible for dissociating the positive and negative protons and thus making the cation and the anion. Thus, the anion is the stronger and the heavier. It is important to know that the anion is a compound which has a charge plus. The whole concept of charge is quite complicated but an en should be clarified. One should always remember that a compound with any excess of the charge must have either a positive or a negative charge.

Reasons to Choose a French Tutor

Reasons to Choose a French TutorWhen choosing a French tutor for your child, there are several things to consider. First, you will want to ask yourself why you would want to select a French tutor for your child. Perhaps you will be tutoring your child in French to better communicate with a friend or relative who speaks the language. Or maybe you will be tutoring your child to improve their language skills and you have tried traditional French classes but have not found them to be effective in teaching your child the basics of the language.French tutors will often come with experience in the language, and this is especially important if you are having trouble teaching your child the language on your own. It is best to use the services of a professional, since they will be able to give you excellent instruction and reinforce your own techniques. Also, you will want to make sure that they have years of experience, as this will help them to concentrate on what they are teaching your chil d.An important aspect of French tutoring is that it is English. You should never attempt to teach your child a language they do not understand. Once your child has started to learn the basics of the language, they will eventually want to speak to their friends in English. In addition, if your child is a beginner at learning a new language, you will want to start them off in a lesson with someone who knows the language well.If you have limited resources, English tutoring can be an excellent choice. There are several advantages to this, including that you do not need to devote much time to teaching your child; you do not need to worry about communication with your French teacher because they will also understand the language; and you will have access to a variety of learning materials, such as audio programs, games, etc. Some parents may consider French to be a less demanding language than English. This is especially true if your child has only been speaking it for a short period of ti me. French tutoring does not necessarily mean that your child will have to spend every day listening to instructions from a speaker in front of a class. If they are already listening to a book or listening to music in English, then French tutoring may not be necessary.Students who do not speak French will often find that there are many benefits to the practice of this language. Students can enjoy the physical activity and social interaction that it brings, and they can gain a better understanding of the language by listening to CDs and reading books in French. Aside from the fact that they are able to practice their language skills, students can also go to the movies, read books, or attend classes in French.French tutoring can help children who have begun to learn the language in order to improve their self-esteem. While there are many advantages to practicing the language in the classroom, for some children it is a matter of practicality. Before choosing a French tutor, consider th e reasons why you would choose them, as well as the benefits of working with a professional.

Are You Really Ready To Record Your Song Or Book A Vocal Session

Are You Really Ready To Record Your Song Or Book A Vocal Session Suzy S. Think youre ready to write your own song and record it?  Songwriting can be an arduous process but seeing the final product is an amazing feeling. Read on for a helpful pre-recording checklist from Perth Amboy, NJ teacher  Jeff S... Whether youre singing your own song or hiring a vocalist to sing on your demo or master, there are many layers of preparation needed to ensure optimum results. Some songwriters like to wing it and hope that things will magically work out because they picked a great studio or have good equipment or simply feel that their song is destined to become a huge hitor perhaps because they dont want to risk the vocal performance sounding too rehearsed and stiff. But that mindset, in my opinion, falls under the categories of foolishness, laziness, or wishful thinking. The fact is, there are several questions you need to ask yourself before the recording session begins and prior to a singer stepping behind a mic to cut their vocal. Your sessions will go a lot more smoothly and successfully if you take the time to put yourself and your song through a series of questions. After you write your song, heres what to consider before recording it and/or booking vocal sessions: Whats the song structure? Is it a Verse/Chorus song? Verse/Bridge? Does it have a solo section? Trust meits really worth determining the structure well in advance of the session. A little planning time now will save you studio time, money, and aggravation later. Whats the tempo? I would urge you to pinpoint a BPM (beats per minute) setting before you start recording a single note. You can use a metronome to do this. What kind of groove do you want the drums to have? Steady? Relaxed? Frenetic? Edgy? Sparse? Busy? Acoustic? Electric? Electronic? Do you need percussion, too? How long is the song? Have you timed it out (including intro and fade ending)? If it comes in at over five minutes, you should at least consider doing a radio edit of the long version that puts it between 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 minutes. Time out your song prior to recording it. Radio and many other end-users for your recording usually dont respond well to epic-length tracks. Whats the style? Pop? Rock? Country? RB? Hip-Hop? If you dont know, you would be wise to get a handle of it before setting foot in the studio. Whats your instrumentation going to be? Are you tracking with live players (and most importantly, are you going to need a live drummer?) or doing a MIDI recording? If youre using live players, you need to get all your money matters in order prior to booking the session. Whats your budget for this demo or master? (Note: if youre doing the recording at your own studio and youre playing and singing everything yourself, then you dont have to worry about this one.) Whats the best key for this particular song? Determining the key that matches the emotion or storyline is crucial. Once you know that, you can ask the singer youve selected if they can sing comfortably in that key. Have a conversation with the singer beforehand about their vocal range and comfort keys. If they cant reach the notes needed, you will likely need to seek out a different singer or change the key. Is your singer familiar with the song? If youre not singing on your own song demo or master, make sure to get your vocalist some form of rough recording of the song so they can get acquainted with it beforehand. This way they wont be coming into the vocal session cold and eat up a lot of unnecessary studio time. Consider recording a scratch vocal (i.e. usually a songwriters one- or two-take guide vocal that conveys the melody and the mood to the singer). What mood do you want the singer to evoke? Heartbroken? Energized? Reflective? Angry? Happy? Is this recording intended to be a demo or master? For example, should it be a broadcast-quality recording that can be used in film, TV, or a top-notch album? If its a master, then everyones performance must be great (if not perfect) and the recording quality has to be excellent. Thats a lot of stuff to think out and plan for, but it will be well worth the time you spend. I hope it leads you to many great recordings and vocal sessions. Should I Go to Florida State University

Should I Go to Florida State University The tutors behind Varsity Tutors are not just here to teachtheyre sharing their college experiences as well. Matthew is an Orlando tutor and 2016 graduate of Florida State University. He holds a bachelors degree in economics and finance and tutors several subjects, including algebra tutoring, economics tutoring, and writing tutoring. Check out what Matthew had to say about his time at Florida State University: Describe the campus setting and transportation options. Matthew: Florida State University had the public transportation options that one would expect from an urban campus. I was able to take advantage of the university-operated bus system, which took students across campus and to certain apartment communities. I was also able to take advantage of the municipal bus system, which visited other apartment communities and some shopping centers. I felt safe on campus, due in large part to certain university-operated safety features such as Safe Ridea shuttle service that would pick up students anywhere on campus if they ever felt unsafe while walking at night. Although a car is not at all necessary for attending class, it may be helpful for securing off-campus employment, since many of the nearby job opportunities exist in the surrounding suburbs, which do not have public transportation services. How available are the professors, academic advisers, and teaching assistants at Florida State University? Matthew: Since Florida State University is a large, public university, it is often difficult to get one-on-one attention in popular classes, which may have hundreds of students. This is especially true of online classes. In fact, for one of my accounting courses which was only offered online, I needed to provide my professor with more than three weeks of lead time before securing a thirty-minute appointment to review a previous exam. However, it is not impossible to form relationships with professors, especially through school-sponsored organizations. Academic advisers can be just as busy during certain times of the year, and, even if they are available, their advice is extremely depersonalized due to their large work load. Students are largely on their own when it comes to course selection. As with professor availability, there are exceptions to thisI was in the honors program, which provided me with additional advising opportunities, and I found them much more useful than general a dvising. I don't recall having difficulty scheduling appointments with teaching assistants, but many classes do not have them. How would you describe the dorm liferooms, dining options, location, socialization opportunities with other students? Matthew: Florida State University offers a great social experience. I believe that all dorms are suite-style, which means that students do not have to suffer through community restrooms. There were plenty of dining halls, and they were open when I needed them. For students who know they want to become involved in Greek life, they will have no difficulty finding opportunities to do so. Which majors/programs are best represented and supported at Florida State University? Matthew: I felt as though Florida State University had great liberal arts programs, and many of my friends were involved with theatre or music. In the College of Business, it seemed as though the risk management and insurance program, the professional selling program, and the accounting program received a great deal of support and had great job placements. I studied economics and finance, due to my interest in transactional law. I felt supported in my areas of study. I felt most supported through advisers with whom I was connected through my extracurricular involvement. How easy or difficult was it for you to meet people and make friends as a freshman? Does Greek life play a significant role in the campus social life? Matthew: I did not have difficulty making friends at Florida State University. Housing does a great job of facilitating interaction among students in the residence halls, and I made friends with many of the people who lived on my floor. I was also involved with several extracurricular organizations, including a Greek organization. Greek life is prevalent at Florida State University, and students have plenty of opportunities to engage with campus through their fraternity or sorority. How helpful is the Career Centerand other student support services? Matthew: The Career Center does a great job, not only helping students find employment, but also helping students get the most out of their Florida State University experience. I worked closely with an Associate Director at the Career Center for much of my experience at Florida State University, who helped me secure a Fortune 100 Internship for the summer of my freshman year (among other opportunities). Reputable companies recruit through the Seminole Futures Career Fair, and I had many friends land top internships early on. However, it seemed as though the recruiters pulled from specific colleges and specific majors from within each college. How are the various study areas such aslibraries, the student union, and dorm lounges at Florida State University? Matthew: There are several libraries on campus, which have great, newly renovated study areas. However, they are extremely crowded, and it is often difficult to find a place to sit, let alone a space at a computer. If I did not have access to a printer and desktop computer at my apartment complex, I would have missed deadlines on several occasions. This is important to note before coming to Florida State University: one cannot depend on finding space at the library to study or print, especially during midterms and finals week. Describe the surrounding town. Matthew: Students are essentially limited to campus and the surrounding area for access to entertainment and social venues, which are limited compared to other areas of Florida. The only big-name entertainment that comes to the city is arranged by the university around Homecoming, so do not count on being able to go to a stadium concert more than once a semester, if that. However, the university does bring in notable classical artists on a somewhat regular basis. How big or small is the student body? Were you generally pleased or displeased with the typical class sizes? Matthew: The student body is large. Last I checked, the population, including graduate students, was around 60,000. I was displeased with the typical class size, which often filled auditoriums. However, most of my upper-division classes were delivered in a more personal environment. Describe one memorable experience with a professor and/or class. Perhaps one you loved the most or one youregretthe most. Matthew: I greatly enjoyed a business law course which I took during my sophomore year. I was lucky enough to be in an in-person sectionI was one of thirty in-person students, and I believe there were more than 300 online students. I met with my professor during office hours multiple times throughout the semester, and the professor was kind enough to write me a letter of recommendation for a summer program later on. How to Tutor Maths

How to Tutor Maths A Roadmap for Becoming a Maths Tutor ChaptersHow to Become a Maths TutorQualities Needed for Maths Tutoring JobsTutoring Maths, Step by StepFind Students for Your Maths Tutor JobsMaths Tutor Prices EarningsDue to the very nature of maths, it would seem that that subject is daunting to many students. Judging by the volume of websites that offer online maths help, the need for maths tutors is great and growing. Are you someone who is passionate about maths? Have you thought about becoming a maths tutor? This article will tell you all you need to know about starting out in the world of tutoring. The good news is that there is no law requiring any certification or licensing to work as a tutor in the UK. Therefore, if you have the necessary skill and are passionate about numbers, shapes, equations and functions, there is nothing stopping you from imbuing your future students with maths competence.Tutoring in maths can be enriching and rewarding for you and your students.Enabling a fundamental understanding of maths and logic not only permits your students to pass exams, but they can use 'mathematical thinking' and logic in all aspects of their life which, in turn, serves to advance society.Besides, as a self-employed private tutor, you get to set your own hours and the pay is pretty good, too!Without further ado, let us explore the many ways you can convert your maths skills and teaching abilities into a productive, fiscally attractive, mutually rewarding venture. You can offer many different types of maths help. Source: Pixabayestimated 2-6% of secondary school students in the UK. Such sufferers may grasp mathematical concepts but perhaps cannot apply them well due to the feelings of anxiety which are evoked when they encounter a maths problem. In the most extreme cases, the student who is so unsettled by the subject that they struggle to complete even the simplest calculations as the symptoms of panic set in.Whether a student needs a tutor's help because of a condition such as anxiety, or they simply ne ed a confidence boost, tutors are not only there to teach, but to mentor. The best maths tutors empathise with their students. They put themselves in their pupil's shoes in order to understand the difficulties they are experiencing, and tailor teaching methods to suit the  learner's strengths whilst working on their weaknesses. A popular method which is used by tutors to ease their students into maths with minimal anxiety is to disguise learning as play; by incorporating mathematical concepts into a game, you can get a student's mathematical brain in gear without them even noticing! Playing math games at the start of your lessons is a great way to help your student relax before they start learning about and using maths in a serious context.Learning disabilities and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs), such as dyscalculia  are also among the reasons many parents seek one to one maths help. Dyscalculia affects a person's ability to understand the way in which numbers work and grasp concepts such as addition and why counting is important. In the same way that dyslexia affects a person's ability to master language, dyscalculia can make learning number sense much more difficult. For this reason, learners who have trouble reasoning and counting, who cannot grasp concepts such as ranging numbers from biggest to smallest might need your patience more than your maths expertise. And, speaking of expertise...It might seem redundant to emphasise that a maths teacher should be a master of the discipline, at least to whatever level they wish to instruct, but it is necessary to drive that point home.Consider the fact that you will be called on to answer any question your tutee might pose. You will be expected to clarify difficult subject material and help your students work through each step of  complex equations, being fully capable of explaining each step along the way - and you must do so with a surety that only one well-versed in the subject can have. This is why it woul d be preferable for you to have undergone the same learning trajectory as those you teach maths to, at least in general terms. For example, if you received your education in Scotland, you are perfectly qualified to assist students in England or Ireland with maths tutoring, but the fact that your students will be following a slightly different curriculum to you, and being examined by different exam boards, may be challenging. The best way to overcome the issue of preparing for unfamiliar exams is to do some research before you plan a lesson; ask your student about what working they are expected to show, visit the exam boards' websites and look at some sample papers and mark schemes - knowing what is being asked of your students will make your teaching go further and ensure that each student fulfils their potential in mathematics. But what if you left the education system a long time ago? Maybe you acquired your mathematics skills from somewhere other than school? It's worth knowing tha t although having recent, first-hand experience of maths learning in school is helpful to tutoring, it's not obligtory, and many industry professionals and retirees go on to have successful tutoring jobs. There is muh more to tutoring than the transmission of knowledge; tutoring is about the enrichment of students' lives though an alternative method of education which goes beyond the school curriculum. So, although it's likely that many of your students will be following the same course content and sitting the same exams, you need to remember what makes tutoring different from classroom teaching: personalisation.Every learner is unique, and each one presents a singular set of requirements for you to meet. Whether teaching elementary math or algebra, it is necessary to adapt your knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to each of your students' personal needs and goals. This means taking the time to talk to them about the points they find difficult to understand whilst taking their preferred learning strategies into account. Are they a visual learner? Or do they prefer to learn by doing? Trying new things and asking for regular feedback will help you to keep your lessons as relevant and as effective as possible. Your job as a private tutor is to act as a problem solver and help students overcome the obstacles created by the one-size-fits-all teaching methods used in schools so that they can achieve the academic success they wish for.A student's achievements proclaim their teacher's abilities. The old engineering adage, KISS â€" Keep it Simple, Sir! - also applies to teaching maths. You should dilute difficult concepts into everyday language, or through real-world examples: slicing a pie to explain fractions, for example.Breaking down calculations into steps and explaining each one in detail is also a good way of making math concepts easier to understand. For your younger, or more hands-on students, try using building blocks, hoops and other shapes to explain ge ometry and arithmetic.Good maths skills require vision and imagination. While you are formally called on to help develop students' maths proficiency, keep in mind that you are unofficially training their minds to work in a rational, logical manner. There is maths everywhere we look. So get your students interested in the maths around them every day by using visual aids, props,  kinaesthetics and even music to show them just how intrinsic mathematics is to even the most seemingly mundane aspects of life. For example, why not demonstrate the presence of maths in everyday life by using a set of scales to show how cooking ingredients are measured out? Or use a recipe to explain ratio? The more a student appreciates the relevance of maths to their day-to-day lives, the more they will be thinking about it, and the higher the likelihood that they will be motivated to succeed. You will guide your pupils through the intricacies of maths studies. Source: Pixabay planning lessons  which are tailo red to each student's needs. It can be tempting to rely on a stockpile and reuse lesson plans from lessons you have already delivered, however, it is important that you review your materials prior to each tutoring session. This does not mean that you have to create a brand new lesson plan for each session, but you should take some time to look at that day's work before you meet with your pupil. Spending a moment to do this will give you a chance to try to anticipate the student's difficulties and formulate responses in advance, making for a smoother lesson. The way in which you break down your learning programme is also important and ensuring that the student understands where they are in their learning journey when you begin and end each session is especially important. Before moving to another concept, ensure your student has fully understood and retained the previous lesson. In order to help the student consolidate their knowledge from the last session and get in the right mindset f or learning new material, prepare a few test questions or a quiz, perhaps related to students' interests: “How many players would Manchester United have at the next game if 12% of them are out sick?”, for example.Prepare props or handouts to help explain new material in a visual way and give students something to help them revise. If you are helping a student to prepare for maths revision  GCSE or other exams, feel free to give a mock test, just to assess what facet of the exam your assistance is most needed. GCSE and A level past papers can be found online and are free to download, so you'll have plenty of mock exam material. It is important that both you and your tutee see official exam questions as a learning aid, rather than something negative to be overcome. Helping your students to get used to tackling exam questions will familiarise them with the exam format, and reviewing their answers alongside the mark scheme will help them to get familiar with what is being asked of th em so that they can keep calm when the day of the exam arrives.Your sessions should be used for teaching and explaining, however, you should regularly assess your students throughout the course of your teaching, not only to keep track of their progress but to also pinpoint weaknesses and prove strengths. Assessments can take any form you like, however, they should not eat into your one to one teaching time too much. When it comes to discussing your student's performance with them, bear in mind that reprimanding or disapproving of incorrect answers or uncertainty is counterproductive. A positive, encouraging attitude is a must! Gentle corrections with good explanations are the most suitable or, better yet: guide your pupil to the desired answer. Letting your student reach the correct answer themselves will not only allow them to use the right method, but it will also avoid damaging their confidence. As a new tutor, it can be difficult to find your place in the market, especially when i t comes to setting your hourly rates. The benefit is that clients come to you and their needs have already been assessed. The downside is that you would be an employee, working within the confines of that company  and your pay could be less than if you worked independently as agencies usually take commission. Tutoring agencies can also tend to be quite selective when it comes to choosing their teaching team, but if you're suitable qualified and don't want to spend your free time looking for clients, this could be the right opt ion for you.Placing an ad online is an easy and cost-effective way to advertise your services, but it is possible that your ad could be overlooked, especially if you choose to not pay for premium placement. Many tutors use local advertising sites such as Gumtree, however, online tutoring platforms such as Superprof as becoming increasingly popular as they offer advertising services specifically for tutors. While you're online, you can do a search for students who have placed an ad for a math tutor and offer your services.Word of mouth is a powerful advertisement medium which is not to be overlooked. Talk yourself up! A chat with a neighbor, a casual exchange at the local grocer and, who knows? Your first student may well be living right next to you. And even if you don't speak to anyone who is in need of your services, the people you do speak to may know someone who is looking to find a tutor.Maths Tutor Prices EarningsThe amount of money you can make as a tutor depends on what lev el and what facet of maths instruction you give, your experience in teaching maths, where you live and when you work.Generally speaking, a Maths teacher salary in England ranges between £15 and £30 per hour.If you are based in London, you stand to earn more than if you worked in or around as less densely populated area. Here are the average costs of one to one tuition around the country:CityAverage Price per HourLondon £22.50Manchester £19.50Leeds £17.34Newcastle £20.00Edinburgh £19.41Cardiff £18.21If you teach GCSE maths or university-level maths, you could charge more than if you instruct elementary level maths. And if you cut out travel costs by choosing to  teach maths online, you can keep more of your earnings in your pocket! No matter which avenue you choose or what level you help students excel at, giving maths lessons is sure to bring you and your students rewards.Discover the Brief History of Mathematics  tutoring over the centuries with our guide.Find tutoring jobs on Super prof. Online Quadratic Graph Tutors

Online Quadratic Graph Tutors Quadratic equation graphs help analyze many equations and solve many questions. Quadratic means square. The equation which has the highest degree for the variable as two is called a quadratic equation. The general form of a quadratic equation is ax2 + b x + c = 0. Here x is the unknown variable and a. b. c are the constants. The sign of the variable a decides if the graph of the quadratic equation is upward or downward. The quadratic equation needs to be solved to graph it. Example 1: Graph the quadratic equation x2 + 6x + 9. Solution: Given here is the quadratic equation x2 + 6x + 9. The first step is to solve for the quadratic equation. The equation can be written as x2 + 3x + 3x + 9 Now factoring the common terms gives x(x + 3) + 3(x + 3) = 0. Hence (x + 3) (x + 3) = 0 Therefor x = 3 is the solution. The graph of the quadratic equations is given below. Example 2: Graph the quadratic equation x2 + 7 x + 10. Solution: Given here is the quadratic equation x2 + 7x + 10. The first step is to solve for the quadratic equation. The equation can be written as x2 + 5x + 2x + 10 Now factoring the common terms gives x(x + 2) + 5(x + 2) = 0. Hence (x + 5) (x + 2) = 0 Therefor x = -5, - 2 are the solutions. The graph of the quadratic equations is given below.

Introvert Whisperer / Everyday networking opportunities tips for people who hate to mingle - Introvert Whisperer Everyday networking opportunities tips for people who hate to mingle   Shy people or those who consider themselves introverts often see networking as a challenge. But is it really that difficult to mingle with new faces? Well, with time, you will realize that it’s is not that hard at all. Whether you call yourself shy, introvert or just quiet, you can still master the art of networking. One important thing to know about networking is that it’s not all about the ability to mingle; it’s more about building relationships based on sincerity, trust, and understanding. Here are a few tips to help you get better at networking; Learn to take it easy with the meet and greet The simple meet and greet process at networking events is the basis to establishing conversations with strangers and building relationships. If you are shy about meeting someone for the first time, try finding a common connection between you and them and request for an introduction. An organizer or host can help you with this.  You can also tag a buddy along to help you be more at ease. Getting introduced can help take away your anxiety of meeting someone just out of the blue. But if you can’t find someone for the introduction, just take a deep breath and give it a try. After all, it’s better to try than to miss a chance at all, right? Remember that no one is thinking about you and your shyness Most shy people at networking events often fear that everyone is looking at them or is concerned about their shyness. Truth is; no one really is. Everyone is always thinking about themselves and how to make that first impression too. Plus, there are also individuals like you in the same event who consider themselves shy and introverts, so basically you are in the same shoes. Knowing this fact can be the most liberating thing in your networking life. Practice, practice, practice Practice  makes things easier. Try attending a networking event at least once every month or two to gain more courage and learn how to smoothly interact with strangers. You can also attend a networking group that does speed networking to help you practice and get comfortable with talking to people you don’t know. With time, you will find that it becomes easier and easier to approach and start conversations with strangers at networking events. Write down some questions Conversations are a two-way street and so you can’t let the other person carry the whole conversation. If your fear to socialize at networking events is not being to participate in conversations spontaneously, write down some few questions to guide you through. Questions such as “what got you into this career path”, ”what are your future career plans”, ”what are your hobbies”, and more of such could be really helpful in enabling you to contribute to the conversation. These are some of the few things that you can use to help you in starting and running with that all-important conversation at a networking event. Try them gradually and in no time you will find yourself getting out of your introvert-zone and enjoying all the opportunities that networking has to offer.
